Residents Test Allerdale Website |
Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th Novermber 2005 saw Sunderland University coming to the Oval Centre to conduct a user friendliness experiment on behalf of Allerdale Borough Council.
The purpose of the experiment was to find out how easy the Allerdale Borough Council Website, found at www.allerdale.gov.uk, is to actually use by residents of the borough and we were delighted that they had chosen residents of Salterbeck to use as guinea pigs!
Each residents spent about half an hour performaing such tasks as finding out how to pay concil tax, dispose of an unwanted sofa or complain about parking whilst Mark and Alan from Sunderland University filmed the navigation path of the resident whilst moving through the website.
All the residents gave positive feedback of the experience and were rewarded with a £10 Marks & Spencer voucher for their time.
